Lexicon Bank Partners with HopeLink of Southern Nevada to Fight Poverty

The Community Bank Honors HopeWeek which Celebrates 30 Years of Giving Back to the Community with a Cash Donation and Advocacy

LAS VEGAS, November 1, 2021—  This month, Lexicon Bank, Nevada’s community-focused banking partner, is proud to spotlight HopeLink of Southern Nevada as its November Community Spotlight with a cash donation and advocacy of its HopeWeek. The event, which runs from November 1-6, will celebrate 30 years of giving back to the community.

This partnership is part of the Lexicon Bank Community Spotlight program, a monthly initiative that highlights local non-profit organizations that are making a difference in the Southern Nevada community. HopeLink of Southern Nevada is a leading non-profit in the community that serves residents with housing, food, medical, employment, shelter, utility, and low-income homeless assistance programs in an effort to create a community where everyone has a safe place to call home.

HopeWeek kicks off with a ribbon cutting event on Monday, November 1st from 4:00pm-6:00pm with the Las Vegas and Henderson Chambers of Commerce. Donations of household items and cleaning supplies will be collected at this event. On Wednesday, November 3rd from 5:30pm-8:00pm HopeLink will host an “Evening of Hope” painting party at Pinot's Palette at The District at Green Valley. The week will end with “Neighbor Day” on Saturday, November 6th from 12:00pm- 4:00pm at Morrell Park in Henderson.

All cash donations received during HopeWeek will be matched up to $20,000 by the generous support of the Helms Helps Foundation.

In just the past year, HopeLink of Southern Nevada has provided over 10,000 individuals with critical services, written nearly 4,000 checks to prevent homelessness and utility shut off, provided food assistance for more than 3,000 households and so much more.

“We are excited to contribute to an organization that is making such a significant impact for so many in our community, especially as we are approaching the holidays,” said Stacy Watkins, Lexicon Bank President and CEO. “As a community focused bank, its non-profits like HopeLink that continue to inspire us.”

In addition to spotlighting HopeLink this November, Lexicon Bank will host a Las Vegas Rescue Mission food drive for Thanksgiving at the Bank from November 1-15. Community members can stop by Lexicon Bank anytime during business hours to drop off canned food for those in need in our community.
