Horses for Heroes
July 2023 Community Spotlight
Horses4Heroes has been serving local heroes and their families since 2006. The organization's mission is to provide affordable programs and life-changing experiences with horses for those in our community whose call of duty is to protect, serve, teach, and heal.
Horses4Heroes offers low-cost horseback riding programs and activities, including camps, lessons, birthday parties, field trips, and corporate outings for ages 2 to adult. Workshops are held for veterans and first responders with PTSD, survivors of domestic abuse, violence, trauma and trafficking, recovering addicts, foster children and teens, and at-risk youth. In addition, team building and leadership training programs are offered.
Lexicon Bank is proud to feature Horses4Heroes as our July Community Spotlight. It gives us the opportunity to advocate and support its effective healing programs for our deeply deserving military veterans and first responders. Ongoing summer activities include Stable Saturdays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. through August 5th (passes on sale now), and Summer Ranch Camp – eight, one-week camps through July 31st. Camps are designed for kids in grades Pre-K through 7th grade.

Join Us In Making A Difference
Horses4Heroes programs are available to members only at their Headquarters and flagship facility, the Las Vegas Family Equestrian Center, in Northwest Las Vegas. Membership is free for all Active-Duty service members, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters/EMTs, teachers and healthcare workers, community partners, and their families. Not one of these local heroes? You can be the organization's HERO by joining as a Friend for a one-time fee of $50.

Volunteer
Opportunities are available for volunteers to get acquainted with all areas of the center, from working events to working with horses, and everything in between. Groups from other service organizations, corporations and non-profits are welcome to join.
Donate
Donations can be made to sponsor one horse ($300/month), support one Veteran or First Responder with PTSD to complete a four-week Equine Therapy session ($500), send one child to one week of Summer Camp ($300) or purchase one week of hay for our 20 horses ($1000).
