JDRF is the leading global nonprofit funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their strength lies in their exclusive focus on the worldwide effort to end T1D and the power of our volunteers. Founded in 1970 by parents determined to find a cure for their children with T1D, JDRF has expanded to become the largest charitable supporter of T1D research in the world. Their community—of U.S. chapters, international affiliates, and 1 million volunteers—is dedicated to creating a world without T1D.
This August, Lexicon Bank is proud to spotlight JDRF, a leading global nonprofit funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The Bank will be supporting JDRF by serving as a bronze sponsor for their annual One Walk, Las Vegas. Additionally, team members from the Bank will participate in the mid-November walk. The walk is the largest fundraising event for type 1 diabetes in the world and will power more research, enable more advocacy and fund more support for the 1.6 million Americans living with T1D.
Through funding groundbreaking research, advocating for policies that accelerate access to new therapies, and providing resources for the T1D community, JDRF strives to improve lives today and tomorrow and accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent, and treat T1D and its complications.
