Opportunity Village

Opportunity Village is dedicated to helping adults with disabilities become the very best version of themselves. Through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation, these individuals can find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration, and unleash creative passions. Today, Opportunity Village operates four employment training center campuses, multiple business service lines, including custodial, printing, secure document shredding, and a new culinary line called Dessie’s Table, as well as a Thrift Store in Southern Nevada.

Lexicon Bank is proud to support and feature Opportunity Village as its December Community Spotlight. This month, Lexicon Bank is helping champion the “gift of opportunity” as a 2020 Great Las Vegas Santa Run sponsor and collaborator with Dessie’s Table. Local run participants will receive a free cookie made with love by Opportunity Village at their packet pick-up, thanks to Lexicon Bank, and throughout the month Lexicon clients will enjoy holiday treats from Dessie’s Table at the Bank individually-wrapped as a special thank you for continued business. Dessie’s Table provides adults with intellectual and related disabilities vocational training and all cookie proceeds go directly back into fueling Opportunity Village programs—each purchase serves a higher purpose.
