Foster Kinship
August 2025 Community Spotlight

Since 2011, Foster Kinship has supported over 24,000 children across the state who are being raised by relatives or close family friends in an arrangement known as kinship care.
As Nevada’s only organization solely dedicated to kinship families, Foster Kinship provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services, including family advocacy, evidence-based case management, education, child and youth programming, support groups, and essential resources such as diapers, clothing, and car seats.
Foster Kinship helps families navigate legal, financial, emotional, and behavioral health systems to promote long-term stability and generational healing. Our work empowers children to break cycles of abuse and neglect to build brighter, more vibrant futures in the community.

Join Us In Making A Difference
Foster Kinship is proud to host its signature Stronger Together Conference on Friday, September 5th, at the Las Vegas Area Council Scouting America. This full-day event honors Kinship Care Month and brings together kinship caregivers, adoptive parents, birth parents, and professionals for a powerful day of learning, connection, and community. Attendees will gain valuable insights through expert-led workshops, trauma-informed trainings, inspiring keynote speakers, and opportunities to connect with local resources and each other.
The Stronger Together Conference equips families and professionals with the tools, education, and encouragement they need to help children heal and thrive. Every day, thousands of children in Nevada are being raised by grandparents, aunts, uncles, or older siblings when their parents can’t care for them. These kinship families step up in times of crisis to keep children safe and connected to their roots, but they often do so without adequate support.
If you would like to attend this year’s conference, you may register for tickets at Stronger Together Conference.* If you or your company would like to become an event sponsor or host a resource table, please email paula@fosterkinship.org and she will make sure you have a meaningful impact on families across Southern Nevada.
Volunteer
There are opportunities to volunteer one time, such as to share your expertise with a kinship caregiver support group, or to provide ongoing support at Marcie's Heart, the kinship family resource and donation center.
Make a Donation
Your donation will help Foster Kinship continue to provide support, services and resources to the caregivers they work with. Your support can help them ensure safe, stable, and nurturing childhoods for all children in kinship care.
