February 2026 Community Spotlight
Jewish Nevada is the central organization supporting more than 70,000 Jewish residents across the state, strengthening Jewish life locally, in Israel, and around the world through events, funding, and crisis relief. It serves all Nevadans regardless of religion by feeding the hungry, supporting the sick and elderly, educating youth, providing scholarships and grants, and partnering with local nonprofits that benefit thousands each year.
Through its divisions include the Jewish Communtiy Center, Camp J, Hillel of Las Vegas, Hillel of Northern Nevada, Young Leaders, Women’s Philanthropy, men’s division and more, they host hundreds of events annually for community members to network, connect, and improve our community.
In times of crisis they mobilize rapidly, delivering shelter, clothing, food, and aid to victims of the L.A. wildfires, the war in Ukraine, and the October 7 attacks in Israel. And they fight antisemitism through education initiatives like Student to Student, where Jewish teens share their stories in local schools.
They solve the community’s biggest challenges through the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Tzedakah (philanthropy), and G’milut Hasadim (acts of kindness).
