Sunshine Nevada
July 2025 Community Spotlight

Sunshine Nevada creates a camp environment where children with autism can truly be themselves and feel included. The impact is profound: campers and volunteers alike often describe the camp as the highlight of their year. Many share that their experiences have shaped their perspectives on community, empathy, and what truly matters in a fast-paced world.
Thousands of children have experienced summer camps and events thru Sunshine Nevada over the last two decades. Camps are filled with singing, dancing, laughing, love, education and social experiences. At these camps, children and young adults with autism can be themselves and enjoy being included in all activities.
We invite you to learn more about volunteering for and participating in Sunshine Nevada camps, and how to donate to this worthwhile nonprofit organization by visiting sunshinenevada.org.*
Join Us In Making A Difference
Sunshine Nevada currently hosts three summer camps a year: Camp I Am, Camp TLC, and Camp Shine. Each camp is free of charge for children and young adults living with autism. They are very popular and continue to operate at capacity as they serve our community.
By popular demand, Sunshine Nevada is currently working toward an exciting goal—launching an additional camp within the next 24 months. Making this expansion will require increased volunteer support and additional funding. As a small, volunteer-run organization, it’s a significant undertaking, but one they are committed to pursuing.
If you or your company would like to assist by volunteering at the camp or by donating to offset the additional expenses of conducting another camp, please contact Sunshine Nevada today by calling 702.706.6190 or by sending an email to info@SunshineNevada.org.*
