For over 65 years, UWSN has united our community to improve people’s lives. Funds raised in Southern Nevada stay here and build pathways out of poverty so our entire community can thrive.
UWSN lives its mission every day: uniting the community to improve lives. It focuses on four pillars: youth opportunity, financial security, healthy community, and community resiliency. By strengthening these areas, they help young people succeed, support families in achieving stability, expand access to health resources, and build resilient neighborhoods.

Join Us In Making A Difference
Project REACH Senior Expos
August 2026
Project REACH, a signature program of United Way of Southern Nevada, provides emergency past‑due utility assistance for low‑income seniors ages 62 and older living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Eligible seniors can receive up to $300 per year for past‑due gas, electric, water, sewer, and trash bills, helping them remain safely housed without having to choose between essential needs. The Project REACH Senior Expos, powered by NV Energy, extend this support by offering in‑person assistance and access to community resources. Held every August, the expos serve more than 1,500 seniors annually, helping older adults facing financial challenges connect with utility assistance and other vital services.
