Lexicon Bank Partners with Leaders in Training for First Annual Homecoming Party

The Community Bank sponsors LIT’s celebration of Nevada's first generation college graduate icons for their 10-year anniversary event on May 19 to help raise funds for future Leaders in Training

LAS VEGAS, May 6, 2022 —  This month, Lexicon Bank, Nevada’s community-focused banking partner, is proud to spotlight Leaders in Training as its May Community Spotlight by sponsoring their First Annual Homecoming Party celebrating Nevada’s first generation of college graduates on May 19, 2022. The bank is serving as Pep Rally Sponsor and encouraging attendance with its clients, partners, and team.

The Anniversary Homecoming Party is a unique kind of homecoming designed to celebrate a decade of bringing the mission of empowering first-generation high school and post-high school graduates to hundreds of students across our Las Vegas Valley. Guests will enjoy drinks, modern party lounges, appetizers, music, and a program that will leave everyone inspired- all to help raise funds to help Leaders in Training (LIT) continue to reach and offer valuable resources to students through higher education.

This partnership is part of the Lexicon Bank Community Spotlight program, a monthly initiative that highlights local non-profit organizations that are making a difference in the Southern Nevada community. LIT is on a mission to empower first-generation college graduates from diverse backgrounds to be the next generation of leaders who end systemic and structural inequities in every sector, in every community: redefining leadership.

LIT's purpose is to ensure Nevada youth from humble beginnings who would be the first in their family to graduate from college have an equitable opportunity to achieve a post-secondary education if they choose and become leaders of their own communities.

“As a community-focused bank, it is important to me that we are celebrating and grooming the next generation of business leaders in Las Vegas. We are honored to partner with Leaders in Training for such a significant initiative” said Stacy Watkins, Lexicon Bank President & CEO. “LIT’s mission and empowerment of college access, college persistence, and diverse leadership from the community is vital in today’s world.”
