LAS VEGAS, June 22, 2021— Lexicon Bank President & CEO Stacy Watkins has accepted membership into the Nevada Forum of the International Women’s Forum where she joins a preeminent roster of just over 100 women in Nevada. Chartered in 1999, and entering its 22nd year, IWF Nevada is committed to championing equality and cultivating the women leaders of tomorrow. 

Leading a community bank, the membership is a natural fit for Ms. Watkins helping to move Las Vegas forward in this new era of business and be an inspiration for other female business leaders, many of whom were hardest hit during the pandemic. 

“I am delighted to join the IWF’s commitment to advancing women’s leadership opportunities throughout Nevada,” exclaims Stacy. “ I’m incredibly thankful and humbled for the nomination by Diana Bennett, CEO of Paragon Gaming and Lexicon Bank Board Member, and Alexia Vernon, an award-winning author and executive coach, for their recommendation to join this elite group of women.”

Serving as President since April 2020 and President & CEO since January 2021, Stacy Watkins has made significant contributions to the Bank’s continued growth and success, including leading efforts to support small businesses and organizations throughout Nevada—particularly those who were most affected by the coronavirus pandemic requiring turnkey, localized support from their lending institution. Above all, she has led the Bank to its first profitable quarter in Q1 2021 since its opening in August 2019, a feat very few DeNovo institutions can hit in their first two years of operation.

As President & CEO, Stacy oversees Lexicon Bank’s products, services and team, further develops business and community partnerships, and helps build overall awareness in the community. Fueled by her heart for service and the Bank’s commitment to community prosperity, Stacy introduced the Lexicon Bank Community Spotlight program, a monthly initiative that highlights local non-profit organizations that are making a difference in the Southern Nevada community and connects them with banking partners and clients to help support their missions. Past spotlights include Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, Operation Homefront, Nevada Ballet, and The LGBTQ Center Of Southern Nevada to name a few.

Ms. Watkins is a past Chairman of the Board for Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Family Gifts Division. She also proudly serves as a member of the Vegas Chamber Executive Women’s Council, Vegas Chamber President’s Club and Nevada Banker’s Association. Stacy is a past recipient of Las Vegas Woman Fearless Females, Las Vegas Business Press Women Who Mean Business and Vegas Inc.’s Top 40 Under 40.

Nevada IWF will be in the spotlight next year at the 2022 International World Leadership Conference when they host the annual event in Las Vegas November 1-3, 2022 at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. This conference will bring esteemed women leaders from all over the globe to Nevada providing a unique opportunity to showcase the business, tourism, arts, and natural resources of the state on an international stage.
