Teach For America Nevada (TFA NV) was established in Nevada in 2004 and has built a diverse network of education leaders, who continue to positively impact education outcomes in our state both in the classroom and the broader education system.

Teach For America is a leadership development organization for those who want to co-create a more just world alongside young people in their communities. Today it is a network of nearly 800 leaders who started in the classroom and remain in lifelong pursuit of the vision that one day, all children will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education.

In 2020, Teach For America Nevada set a 10-year goal for our organization’s work. By 2030, twice as many 3rd graders in CCSD will read proficiently, indicating they are on a path to economic mobility and co-creating a future filled with possibility.

Join Us In Making A Difference

Teach For America Nevada is celebrating 20 years of impact in Nevada and marking the occasion with their first ever gala on September 5th at the Fontainebleau. Over the past 20 years, they have built a network of nearly 800 educational equity leaders who are collectively working towards their vision for a community in which all students will have access to an excellent education. Their 20th Anniversary gala is more than a celebration, it is fuel to keep igniting the work of dedicated educators taking place in classrooms across our community and to help us double the number of third grade students reading proficiently by 2030. This would ensure they are on the trajectory for economic mobility.
