Lexicon Bank Observes Grand Opening of Branch Location Model Inside Junior Achievement’s Biztown

LAS VEGAS, NV – (October 14, 2024) – Lexicon Bank celebrated the Grand Opening of its Tivoli Village location recreated inside Junior Achievement’s BizTown on October 10th, 2024, with the participation of its board members, bank executives, and local dignitaries. Bank Chairman Russell Rosenblum and his wife, Anne Mazzola, and Lexicon President & CEO Stacy Watkins were critical in raising the funds necessary to make this project a reality through their participation in the JA Inspiration Center’s Capital Campaign.

The BizTown branch is designed to be a learning experience that allows elementary school students the hands-on opportunity to operate a community bank and understand its functions, such as opening bank accounts and depositing checks. It allows students to immerse themselves in roles they will play as citizens, workers, and consumers in their community, along with basic business practices and responsibilities. Hilary Nelson, Senior Vice President and Director of Operations and Compliance for Lexicon Bank, serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. Her personal and professional commitment to the BizTown project led the process for the bank’s involvement. “As a community bank, supporting nonprofit organizations like Junior Achievement is a responsibility we take seriously,” stated Nelson. “Through our participation in BizTown, Lexicon Bank is having a real impact on increasing the financial literacy of our future community leaders.”

BizTown is located inside the JA Inspiration Center at 4440 E. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89121. Operating hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
