It gives us the opportunity to advocate for this outstanding organization and show our support for their essential programs and services that assist blind and visually impaired children in Nevada.
SafeNest
SafeNest has been at the forefront of ending domestic and sexual violence in Southern Nevada for 44 years. What sets them apart is the commitment to treating the entire continuum of violence from prevention to protection to empowerment. They not only provide a discreet, safe shelter for victims of abuse, but SafeNest is also the only nonprofit in the Valley to provide resources for batterers to address the cycle of abuse at the root.
Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation
Since their founding in 1967, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation has played a role in every major breakthrough in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) research. They have invested more than $400 million into finding the causes, treatments, and cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The Foundation will continue its work until it realizes its vision of a future free from Crohn’s and colitis.

Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas
Believing that every child deserves a safe and supportive place to grow, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Las Vegas creates and supports programs that directly improve the health, education, and well-being of children in our community. The Ronald McDonald House® is the cornerstone program of RMHC® and provides temporary housing for families who travel to Las Vegas to receive critical medical treatment for their children.
Horses for Heroes
Lexicon Bank is proud to feature Horses4Heroes as our July Community Spotlight. It gives us the opportunity to advocate and support its effective healing programs for our deeply deserving military veterans and first responders. Ongoing summer activities include Stable Saturdays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. through August 5th (passes on sale now), and Summer Ranch Camp – eight, one-week camps through July 31st. Camps are designed for kids in grades Pre-K through 7th grade.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada
Lexicon Bank is proud to feature Big Brothers Big Sisters as our June Community Spotlight. It gives us the opportunity to advocate for the organization’s valuable mentoring network and support its upcoming 4th Annual Battle For Vegas Charity Softball Game which will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Las Vegas Ballpark.
Special Olympics Nevada
Special Olympics Nevada is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through sports, education, leadership, and athlete health. The 501(c)3 nonprofit organization offers free year-round training and competition programs for 2,694 athletes who compete in more than 14 competitions in 7 sports annually. Within the Community Sports Program and the Schools Partnership Program, SONV is encouraging the growth of Unified Sports®, bringing together athletes with and without intellectual disabilities to play as teammates. In a typical year, SONV impacts more than 21,283 students by promoting inclusion on school campuses. SONV is also committed to improving the overall health and well-being of individuals with intellectual disabilities through Healthy Athletes events, offering screenings and services free of charge. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the organization was able to convert its programming to virtual platforms to keep people with intellectual disabilities healthy and safe. SONV relies on the support of 1,670 volunteers and funding from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations. Thanks to more than a million members and the dedicated efforts of our diverse staff and over 400 scientists, we impact conservation in 76 countries and territories.
The Friendship Circle
Friendship Circle provides a fully-inclusive and non-judgemental environment that nurtures relationships and helps to create lifelong friendships for individuals with disabilities. Friendship Circle is founded upon the belief that within each person is a soul, and that soul is equal and worthy of boundless love. Everyone is deserving of friendship, and everyone can be a friend.
The Springs Preserve
Located at the original water source for the Las Vegas Valley, the Springs Preserve is a 180-acre cultural institution that celebrates Las Vegas' dynamic history while focusing on its sustainable future. Visitors to the Springs Preserve will discover boundless opportunities to explore ancient and modern history, natural landscapes, archaeological sites, native plants and animals, and current water resource challenges. The campus includes the OriGen Museum, Nevada State Museum, two interactive exhibition spaces (WaterWorks and Boomtown 1905), a colorful botanical garden, an art gallery, a kids’ learning center, natural trails system, restored wetlands, seasonal butterfly habitat, preserved historical structures, and trackless train rides.

B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation’s mission is to provide resources needed to support, sustain and empower young girls and women under the age of 25 who have been abused, abandoned, and exploited. We accomplish this by bringing other agencies with similar missions together and being a resource center for these organizations.
