Three Square Food Bank
Three Square Food Bank’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They combine food banking (warehousing canned and boxed goods), food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets) and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada. With the help of an extensive network of volunteers across Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties, Three Square is able to reach struggling individuals and families at risk of hunger. In 2019, they distributed more than 41 million meals, the equivalent of more than 50 million pounds of food and grocery products, thanks to the generous support of their community partners.
Lexicon Bank is proud to support and feature Three Square Food Bank. Lexicon Bank Board Member, Diana Bennett, has been actively involved with Three Square since its inception in 2007, serving as board chair, volunteer, donor and lead organizer of Fashion for Three Square, an annual event that has contributed over $10 million to childhood nutrition programs. This month, Lexicon Bank is helping food-insecure Southern Nevadan’s by donating 7,500 meals and volunteering at a distribution site to pack groceries for Three Square clients.
Help Us Make A Difference
Fifteen Lexicon Bank staff and board members came together in November at Dorothy Eisenberg Elementary School to bag groceries for Three Square Food Bank. It was the largest day of giving at the school with over 350 families supported!
