Lexicon Bank is proud to feature The Ability Center of Southern Nevada as our March Community Spotlight.
With a mission to Empower Ability to Enhance Well-Being, the Ability Center provides adaptive fitness classes to those of all abilities. Offering a variety of classes, including classes that were previously unavailable to the special needs community – such as cheerleading, hip-hop dance, karate, family yoga, and small group circuit training. Ability Center coaches guide members safely through their workouts in a one-of-a-kind sensory gym featuring custom Keiser pneumatic air resistance machines, inspiring backgrounds, music, and lights that help our members become more confident with changes in their environment.

Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives. For over 30 years, RTSNV has provided critical home repairs and safety modifications at zero cost to low-income seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and with dignity in safe and healthy homes.

The Ability Center of Southern Nevada
The Ability Center of Southern Nevada is a local nonprofit organization whose goal is to empower, enhance, and increase the natural ability of those with special needs. They accomplish this by providing a unique sensory gym experience with motivating coaches and tailored equipment that help individuals develop their natural abilities and essential skills to live independent lives. It is the only special needs gym of its kind in Southern Nevada.

Jazz Outreach Initiative
Jazz Outreach Initiative was founded to fill a need in the community for greater exposure to jazz studies and awareness, focusing on students of all ages. Through festivals, clinics, “Band Directors Academy,” "Jazz for Young People Concerts", and other outreach programs, JOI celebrates the great American art form by promoting it through the next generation of performers, audiences, and consumers.

Mondays Dark
Mondays Dark is Las Vegas’ premier variety show for a cause. Twice a month at The Space, Emcee/Entertainer Mark Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of musical guests, variety acts and special guests for 90 minutes of entertainment, conversation and lots of laughs. The mission of Mondays Dark is to raise $10K each performance for different nonprofits across Southern Nevada. Over the last 11 years, Mondays Dark has partnered with over 200 local nonprofits raising over $2 million for the Vegas Valley.

Hope Means Nevada devotes all of their accessible resources, consistent support, community events, and passion for prioritizing mental wellness to eliminate teen suicide and empower Nevada youth to live hopeful lives. They inspire teenagers to recognize warning signs, express their emotions, and practice self-compassion. They also educate parents, guardians, and loved ones to recognize warning signs, and to build strong foundations of communication and trust with adolescents in their lives.
