News – Lexicon Bank Features Special Olympics Nevada As Its May Community Spotlight

Local Bank sponsors upcoming 2023 Southern Nevada Spring Games in partnership with Special Olympics Nevada

LAS VEGAS, May 1, 2023 – Lexicon Bank is proud to announce that Special Olympics Nevada (SONV) has been selected as the May Community Spotlight and that the bank will be sponsoring the upcoming 2023 Southern Nevada Spring Games.

Special Olympics Nevada is a non-profit organization that provides more inclusive programs to people with intellectual disabilities. SONV has free programs for both youth and adults in the areas of sports, education, leadership development and health. Their mission is to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential, develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy through the power of sports. SONV has served over 2,500 athletes and has sent them to 14 competitions, competing in 7 different sporting events.

The Bank is proud to sponsor the 2023 Southern Nevada Spring Games, which will take place in Las Vegas on May 13th at The Meadows School from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Spring Games will bring together over 1,000 athletes from across the region to compete in a variety of Olympic-type sports, including track and field, swimming, and basketball.

Lexicon Bank’s support is part of the Lexicon Bank Community Spotlight program, a monthly initiative that highlights local non-profit organizations that are making a difference in the Southern Nevada community.
