CELEBRATING FIVE YEARS
OF COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT PARTNERS
Thank you to our clients, partners and generous community for supporting our local non-profits this past year. They need our support more than ever as we move Southern Nevada forward and continue thriving.
As a Vegas born Bank, we value our roots and put our Southern Nevada community first. We are proud to spotlight and support many non-profit organizations in the community and champion local causes. Please consider donating time or money to one of these incredible spotlights to close out the year.
Have a beloved community non-profit we should partner with?
We’d love to consider it and find ways to partner with them. Submit their information HERE and our team will review and meet with the organization for future opportunities.

The Las Vegas Area Council takes immense pride in our relationship with Lexicon Bank. Over the past four years, Lexicon’s board officers and exceptional staff have been more than just our banking partners, they have been our friends and trusted allies. Our partnership began during what could be considered a time of crisis. In April 2020, as the government released the first round of PPP loans, larger banks struggled to efficiently distribute these critical funds. Within 24 hours, John Miller, Staci Watkins, and the dedicated team at Lexicon Bank confirmed our loan application was submitted. In just two weeks, these vital funds were securely deposited into our new Lexicon Bank account.
This level of commitment stems from the outstanding leadership and customer-first mentality that Lexicon Bank exemplifies daily. We are profoundly grateful for their support, not only to us but to the entire community. They embody the values of Scouting by consistently striving to leave everything and everyone better than they found them.

In 2019, The Center in downtown Las Vegas faced one of the most challenging periods in its 32-year history. The organization, a lifeline for the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized populations, was at risk of losing its iconic property due to a balloon mortgage payment exceeding $1.6 million. Despite determined efforts, no local financial institution was willing to assist in refinancing the property, leaving The Center on the brink of losing its home.
Enter Lexicon Bank, a new but community-focused financial institution. Led by Russell Rosenblum as Chairman of the Board and his dedicated team, Lexicon Bank opened its doors to The Center in July 2019. Understanding The Center's critical role in Southern Nevada, the bank wasted no time developing a strategy to not only refinance the mortgage but also provide long-term stability. Lexicon Bank secured a lower interest rate and reduced monthly payments through their innovative approach. It gave The Center the breathing room needed to stabilize its operations and plan for the future.
This partnership marked the beginning of an extraordinary transformation. Lexicon Bank's financial lifeline enabled The Center to avoid foreclosure and focus on revitalizing its mission. Today, The Center is thriving like never before, serving more community members than at any point in its history. The organization has expanded to include a second location, a comprehensive medical clinic, two pharmacies, mobile health services, and a wide range of programs that promote health and wellness, advocacy, and community building.
Lexicon Bank’s impact didn’t stop at refinancing. The bank has remained an engaged partner, volunteering, advising on strategic development, and supporting vulnerable individuals served by The Center. Their unwavering commitment has ensured that The Center remains a safe and affirming space for those seeking family and support. Reflecting on the partnership, John Waldron, CEO of The Center, stated, “I often say that Lexicon Bank saved The Center, and it’s true. We have our home and have expanded significantly because everyone at Lexicon Bank cared enough to help The Center thrive in service to the community.”
According to Waldron, one of the proudest moments in his tenure was the opportunity to recognize Lexicon Bank as The Center’s Organization of the Year at the 2023 Honorarium.
Thanks to Lexicon Bank, The Center has not only weathered its most challenging storm but also emerged stronger, providing hope and vital resources to the community it serves. This remarkable collaboration exemplifies how a community-focused bank can make a profound and lasting difference.
